    Have a Dumping Ground

I¡Çve mentioned this elsewhere in the book as well, but here I will put it down for you officially, so to speak.

A dumping ground, for the purposes of decluttering your house, is a place which you designate in a room, to place all your unwanted items.

This is what is generally thought of as the junk that you can bear to part with and the stuff that should have been thrown out ten years ago. And as I also mentioned, this is the fun part of the entire decluttering process.

This is a great excuse to throw things across the room. And as long as you¡Çre a good shot and they land in the dumping grounds, you¡Çre fine and you can go on decluttering and getting rid of unwanted things.
